Territory Map and Trips

Plan sales travel from the map, review plotted accounts and leads, and add stops to new or existing trips.

The Territory Map is built for planning field work. It shows customers and leads geographically so reps can see clusters, open a record, and add useful stops to a trip plan from the same screen.

How to use the map

  1. Open the Territory Map from the sales navigation.
  2. Use map filters to narrow the view by territory, customer status, lead status, group, rep, or other available filters.
  3. Select a marker to review the account or lead details in the side panel.
  4. Use Open to go to the full record, or Add to Trip to add that location to a travel plan.

Adding stops to a trip

  • Add a selected customer or lead to an existing trip when the route already exists.
  • Create a new trip from the add-to-trip flow if planning starts from the map.
  • Create internal appointments without notifying the customer unless the workflow explicitly calls for customer communication.

Data quality reminders

  • Records need usable addresses or saved map coordinates before they can be plotted reliably.
  • Use the unplotted records section to identify accounts or leads that need address cleanup.
  • Keep territory and rep assignments current so map planning reflects the real field team.
